Local projects

Macrows is built as a local-first Mac app. Projects you create locally are stored on your Mac and are not uploaded to Macrows Cloud by default.

Local AI features are designed to work through the local Mac app. Macrows does not send your local project data to cloud AI services by default.

Cloud projects and accounts

If you choose Macrows Cloud features, we process the account, organization, and project data needed to provide those hosted features.

Cloud sign-in and organization identity are handled through Clerk. Macrows-owned project data is stored in the hosted Macrows Cloud service only when you choose Cloud.

Website and analytics

The Macrows website may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand page visits, download interest, and product demand.

We use this information in aggregate to improve the website, product pages, launch materials, and onboarding.

Emails and waitlists

If you join a waitlist, request updates, or contact us, we use the information you provide to reply and send relevant Macrows updates.

You can ask us to remove your contact details from future product updates.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited data with service providers that help operate the website, authentication, hosting, analytics, email, downloads, and support. These providers are used only to run Macrows and related services.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for hosted data. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

We keep hosted and contact data only as long as needed to provide the service, support the product, meet legal obligations, and maintain business records.

Changes

We may update this policy as Macrows evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date on this page.
